Jumping for Joy

UCLA head coach Ben Howland profusely lauded Tyler Honeycutt's rebounding, after the freshman forward had 10 boards against Oregon State, while no other teammate had more than three. Honeycutt added 18 points, five blocks, four assists and three steals.

"What is that now Tyler? Two double doubles this year? Three?" Howland asked his star pupil in the back of the room, Honeycutt nodding. "See, he knows. It's a good thing he knows. There's no such thing as a selfish rebounder."

Dragovic is better than Honeycutt.

Thank goodness he is too skinny and inconsistent. I just hope they can keep him through his junior year!

Future of the program. If he stays healthy I think he may very well be the best player Howland's had at UCLA when his time here is finished. He has no weakness in his game, sky's the limit.

Give us 3 years Tyler!

Absolutely...hopefully, with Smith and Nelson next year -- that's a decent core. Add a pt guard and maybe Lee can setup and be a decent off guard and we're okay.

No reason to believe the Pac-10 will be too much better next season. Cal graduates a lot of talent, but I think Arizona will be improved.
