Jon, since you have taken over, have the amount of readers changed at all. Not making a case for you or Dohn here, I was just curious how the readership has responded to the change.

Thanks.

Is the ucla administration working on extending norm chow's contract?

Julious Moore reports a solid "Core GPA" according to Scout.com but no SAT scores. Is that his issue? Is his talent/ability worth the readers continued questions and speculation?

Jon - You seem to think next year's schedule is tough. I'll give you UT is a beast of a game, but are K State and Houston really expected to be that tough? Are Bruins setting the bar low next year because that's where it should be or, or has settling for another average season of CFB become the Norm in Westwood?

Do you or others think that UCLA's athletic marketing is as bad or generic as I do? For a school as storied as UCLA in a creative media market like LA with a hotbed of talent, I think they could do much better. Why don't they shake it up with fresh creativity and talent?

Why Do you think the LA media gives Dan Guererro a pass in everything he does. I do not think i have seen 1 critical article about him despite the performance of the football team and hiring a football coach who put 2 institutions on NCAA probation (Colorado and Washington.) While Across town Mike Garrett has brought 2 national championships in football multiple BCS bowl appearances, Hired Kevin O'neal and was able to hire a football staff on short notice who managed to bring in a number 1 recruiting class, has acted in the Univ best interest in both the BUSH and Mayo case, and Yet he is never commended for his leadership?
Is the Media monopoly in LA ever going to end? to paraphrase a Riverboat Rick

hey s-jones,

uh, y-e-a-h...I would say @ Texas @ Orgeon @ Cal vs 'SC and vs Oregon st would qualify as a tough schedule...boy, between upcoming sanctions/in-roads by UCLA recruiting, you Toe-jam scumbags are getting kinda cranky...LOVE IT!!!

Jon, i'm hearing that Colorado, and utah are the main targets for the two new teams in the pac ten. Why not go after Byu instead of colorado?

Is ucla going to stick with adidas after the current contract runs out?

What's going with Randall Carroll, and Morrell Presely? it seems to me that they are in someones doghouse. Is this a fact, or is it that they where simply, struggling frosh?

Jon, Whatever happened to Shawn Oatis... I remember him being a big recruit out of high school, but hurt his neck, I think..

Will UCLA football always be the step brother to USC? How can we compete when we have inferior coaching, Inferior talent, and an inferior fan base? please, before i get the senseless badgering i refer you to Colin Coward of ESPN who yesterday 2/10 stated on the HERD the PAC 10 is for the forseable future "USC and the 9 little dwarfs".

were academics the problem with taula? wasnt julious moore asked to grey shirt anyways?

Chris Foster twittered that Hasiak is not coming back. Is this true?

I go by Anonymous, and I like to ask stupid questions on my rival school's blog. Does that make me a tool, a douchebag or a loser?

sc didnt have any interest in dak smith after kiffin took over..is neu considering him an option?

awash said:

Jon,

Can u just eliminate the idiotic / obvious questions from the SC trolls. I.e.the 7th question about Dan Guerrero not getting enough heat from the media.

According to Scott Wolf, while Pete Carroll didn't like Charlie Weis or Jim Harbaugh he had a good deal of respect for their coaching abilities. In contrast, Wolf said that Carroll felt Rick Neuheisel was "a fraud of a coach" and did not respect him on any level. Any idea what lead to this animosity?

Anonymous said:

How many violations did Rick commit at Colorado and UW? Why does he get a pass?

What are the Seniors from our football team doing now? I know ATV is in Arizona training for the NFL, but how about the rest of them? Carter, Paulsen, Moya, Austin, the Bosworth's? What is the process like after they leave UCLA?

If Kevin Prince clearly wins the QB job this spring, do you think the staff will try to redshirt Brehaut and go with Crissman as the backup?

Anonymous said:

Jon, do the bruins still have any intrest in QB Cole Marcoux? I cant find anywhere that signed with Dartmouth.

MaltBaa Author Profile Page said:

did taula qualify academically for ucla? wasnt juliious moore being asked to grey shirt anyways? Wouldnt the situation be similar since he would be enrolling at a later date?

Mr. Gold, any chance that the Raiders draft Brian Price? As a USC fan I really liked Price and he is definitely better than McCoy. Thank you in advance.

What is the status of Stan Hasiak? Will he be returning to UCLA next season?

I felt that running blocking was one of the major offensive issues for the football team this year. Do you agree and how will they address this issue in preparation for next year? (Off-season training, spring practice and pre-season practice.)

You've always said that EJ Woods was one of or the best prospect from RN's first class? What school did he end up transferring to? Last time we heard, he was planning on attending SMC last year then transferring to a D1 school. Any news?

Jon. What is up with you always using "the after the jump" phrase. What does it mean and why do you keep using it? One more question: can you please stop using it? Thanks

BruinTran Author Profile Page said:

Jon, at this times last season, it was kinda hard to watch the Bruin's offense (especially when we had a fullback running the ball). What are your expectations for next year's offense? Will it be more explosive? Are we going to take more chances?

has UCLA Athletics had any reaction to FSU "vacating" the Emerald Bowl win against UCLA in 2006 as part of their NCAA sanctions? Does UCLA get to remove the loss or otherwise put an asterisk on the game record?

I think we can stipulate that last season, Reggie Carter was the "emotional" leader on defense and Brian Price was the best player. Who will fill those roles this coming season.

Anonymous said:

Same question as above for offense: Who will be the emotional leader and best player?

Luca10 said:

Jon, any news on Hasiak? LAT has reported that he's taking classe but he will transfer and not come back to the fb team, is it true? I hope he can come back, with XSF on mission we need his Hasiak's help on the OL!

Everyone talks about the importance--from a money standpoint--of a conference championship game in football--and thus the necessity to push up to 12 teams. However, what are the dollars we're talking about. What would the game specifically earn the conference and what would each member pocket?
