1) Why is Moorpark so much better than Thousand Oaks? - bruinbrian
Tim Lins is one hell of a coach, and Moorpark has a huge pool of talent to pull from. That being said, I love what Leibin is doing at Thousand Oaks.

2) There seems to be quite a disparity between the different player rating organizations. I realize some of this is just opinion, but some of it seems to be east coast and sec bias. The best example I can point to is Malcolm Jones, who won Gatorade player of the year but who espn has rated surprisingly low. Thoughts? - tommybruin
Some of it has to do with personal preference, and analyzing recruits is certainly not an exact science. However, the disparity is striking, and I don't really know why.
Jon it seems like you are from the Ventura County area and i think you played jc football for Ventura College, what do think of Coach Mack leaving VC for Crespi? Do you think he could build Crespi like he did with St. Bonnies? - Scrubie
Although I liked Jeremiah Ross, I think Mack is going to do big things at Crespi. Mack is a great private school coach, and Crespi pretty clearly wants to give him the means to win.

3) Just a fun thought. I have been trying to visualize having both Barr and Ayers as hybrid OLB/DE on the field together. Does it sound to you like something that may work, is that going to sacrifice size for speed? - Bruin '05
I think both would be fantastic in that role. Ayers played in that role at times last year and was an immediate impact, having two of his best games while in that role (Oregon State, Temple). Barr is cut in that mold.

4) What does TheCoolSub mean? - AnonymousLast year, while I considered becoming a teacher, I subbed. My friend gave me that nickname and told me to use it for my twitter name.

5) Where is Xavier Sua-Filo doing his mission at? I still feel like we arent going to be good without him. - Javy
He's going to Tallahassee, Fla., and you're right, he's going to be tough to replace.

Anyone else catch Malcolm Jones as one of the three players on the front page at espn.

LOL. Jon, you've got a long 24 hours ahead. You have to clean up hour one.

An Ayers/Barr combo would be a nightmare for opposing teams. Which one is going to blitz, which one is going to drop in to coverage, or spy? Would be damn fun to watch.

Man, anyone else worried about X-man spending two years in the backyard of FSU? Just hoping that two years is more than enough to get your fill of Tallahassee and he returns to beautiful, un-muggy Westwood....

Dear Scott,

I am not worried. If he leave he leaves. He gave us one good year and who knows what we'd get after two years on a mission. I hope he returns but if he doesn't I'm pretty sure there's a plan in place in case he doesn't.
