1) What's wrong with Howland, why does he continues to play dragovic despite his horrendous defense and poor display of bball IQ on the offensive end chucking rainbows? is there a conspiracy where Howland is forced to play dragovic so many mins? I couldn't see the freshmen much worse in place of him. - Dee
Dragovic should be the starter and should play 30+ minutes, and when he is on, UCLA is a decent team. Howland rightfully believes that he doesn't have much post depth, and that forces him to play Dragovic. I agree - but after he takes bad shots, I don't see the harm in putting in Lane for a couple minutes.
2) Has UCLA offered 2011 QB prospect Stephen Rivers (Phillip's younger brother)? He is interested in UCLA? - Anonymous
They haven't offered him yet, but I know they're interested. I've heard Rivers is certainly curious about playing for the man who made his brother blossom.
3) Shirley and Pullard will always be remembered as a kind of swap, with USC grabbing one and UCLA getting the other. If you had to chose only one for your team, which one would you take? - Bruinjigs
A little too early to tell, but I like Shirley's makeup a lot.
4) Jon Gold, I figure that the coaching staff probably told D. Riley that early playing time would be available at UCLA, should he chose to come here, but I just cannot figure what position he can get PT at? With our secondary being fairly young and talented, where do you foresee D. Riley playing at? - Bruinjigs
Riley will surely get a shot at safety opposite Rahim Moore.
5) Hey gold.. is ray mccallum the only PG we are offering a scholarship to for next year? if not, who else are we looking at? - romeojamWell, Lazeric Jones already committed, so there's that. Besides McCallum, as of now there's no one else.

I can understand trogan trolls bashing bruin fans here, but why anyone feels the need to bash Gold (or Wolfie for that matter) is beyond me. Unless, of course, it's about trying to get in touch with Uko's coach, in which case all bets are off. Everyone still following Ambles' tweets? Gold, pure gold...
Terrence Jones recruit from Portland is very capable of playing pg at 6'9. Imagine the lineups...
POWER/BIG
PG T. Jones 6'9
SG M. Lee 6'4
SF T. Honeycutt 6'8
PF R. Nelson 6'7
C J. Smith 6'9
QUICK/SMALLER
J. Anderson 6'1
M. Lee 6'4
T. Lamb 6'4
T. Honeycutt 6'8
T. Jones 6'9
you get the idea....
Having two versatile players such as Honeycutt and Jones that can just about play all 5 positions in college would really make that team tough to beat!
Rivals is now showing Rivers with an offer from UCLA; http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/recruiting/player-Stephen-Rivers-102144
Go Bruins!
I can't understand the argument that Dragovic is played for his rebounding. Lately, he has not been putting up for good rebounding numbers while Honeycutt and Nelson have increased their numbers. If Howland is defensive-minded Dragovic's poor defense should outweigh anything he does on offense.
anonymous D:
Under no circumstance should Jerime Anderson be allowed to play unless all of the other players (including practice players, team managers, mascots, and people from the crowd) are injured. He is the anti-Magic. He makes the other team better.
Putting in Abdul-Hamid in his place would be an upgrade.
