Who is a better writer, you or Wolf?

Why does the media when talking about recruiting in the Pac-10 only mention teams such as
Cal,Sc,Oregon and Stanford and no mention of Ucla? The last time I checked we have out recruited everyone but Sc.

From what I've read on your blog, you've been a fairly accurate defender of Howland so far this season and I appreciate your efforts. After last night's loss, how do you feel differently? Clearly, there are problems in Westwood that were avoidable, such as flawed recruiting and rotation. What do you feel are the biggest issues that need to be addressed?

Jon, can you tell us why ucla athletics is so down over all?

Mr. Gold, recently articles have been published about expanding the PAC 10 to include either Utah and Colorado; or Texas and either previous team, what are your thoughts about expansion? I doubt that Texas would leave the Big 12 but on the one hand I would be curious to see if the Pac 10 would pursue TCU and Houston considering that both teams are in big TV markets and their areas develop great recruits year round. Thank you in advance.

1) Kinda a weird question, but something I thought about yesterday: If Neuheisel's son walks on to the team, and Neuheisel, as his father, pays his tuition at UCLA, would that be an NCAA infraction?

2) Do you think Owa and Malcolm Jones will be 4 year players since they are big on academics?

Aside from the early departures from NBA guys, it seems clear the talent deficit is from the other guys from the last three classes, e.g. Keefe, Stanback, Anderson, Gordon, Morgan. Of the younger guys, who will develop into a solid starter next year?

Shabazz Muhammad was visiting USC for the UCLA game, did you see him and if so how did he seem at the end of the night? What are the odds that he commits to either program?

Typically how many of the questions do you get to? and what type of questions are you looking for? It seems you really don't get to a good portion of the questions here but always answer one joking around about food or tv shows?

You seem to be one to advocate tempering down our expectations for football, like Dohn. However, if UCLA's fanbase is asked to be happy with just barely being bowl eligible, how does that represent an upgrade over the Dorrell era? Is it really too much to ask for incremental improvement? For example, finishing the season ranked would be a big step in the right direction, which would require 8 wins at the minimum, plus a bowl win. If UCLA fancies itself as anything better than a mediocre football program, why should the expectations be any lower for 2010. I know you think UCLA fans are unrealistic, but tempered expectations don't really lead anywhere in my eyes. If you shoot for the stars and come up short, you've still accomplished something.

Jon, in case you miss it, I'd read a pretty insightful comment left after Answers Part 3 about filtering these questions. I think a lot of your readers would agree with this statement and it would strengthen this blog. These questions should be filtered. It's pretty obvious when non-Bruin fans ask questions.

when is Junior day for UCLA football?

It seems UCLA players were pretty winded compared to SC players even though SC doesn't go as deep as UCLA. What is UCLA's typical strength and conditioning program for their BB players.

On one of the answer forums a person posted OWA's scout recruiting profile. http://recruiting.scout.com/a.z?s=73&p=8&c=1&nid=3752203 Scout "claims" he got an 1190 on the 3 part sat. I have a hard time believing that to be true considering he was a well-spoken young man, can you confirm if he got that score or if it is higher on a re-take?

Very broad and general question: Signs point towards an NFL lockout in 2011. How do you think this will affect players at the college level?

Why aren't we recruiting Cory Joseph? By all accounts he is a great talent at a position of need? Is it academics or something else?
