Former UCLA offensive lineman Brandon Bennett interested in APU
I've heard from a couple close sources that former UCLA offensive lineman Brandon Bennett, who chose not to return to the program in December and is close to graduating, wants to continue his playing career at Azusa Pacific University, a premier NAIA school.
Bennett, who is from Azusa and played for Bishop Amat, has one year of eligibility remaining. I'd imagine that he'd be able to compete for a starting spot right away, and I'm told APU has a need at tackle. Bennett played sparingly for the Bruins and chose to end his UCLA career along with offensive lineman Jake Dean, tight end Jeff Miller and safety Garrett Rubio on Dec. 1.

I never knew Bennett left the team. I wish him nothing but the best.
As a fellow Azusian I say good for him APU Is a good school...Its no UCLA but still a great school!
UCLA O-Linemen? That was the position for the last 3 years where UCLA was hurting the most.Don't get too excited..
Bennett will still be finishing his degree at UCLA as he has one final class to graduate. If he does come to APU, he will most likely enroll in graduate classes and play for APU in the fall.
APU is having a solid recruiting season and will most likely compete for the NAIA (D2 competition level) national championship.
Congratulations to a true student-athlete!!
Get that post graduate degree, Brandon, and continue to enjoy the game.
B.B. never got a real chance at the line. This guy is beast and is a force on the line. I figure he would do some damage at the NAIA level.
