Howland On:

Here are some assorted quotes on UCLA's health from Ben Howland's Tuesday press conference:

On Reeves Nelson:
"Reeves sees Dr. Schwartz tomorrow at 9 a.m. He has not been allowed to do anything strenuous because of the blood pressure that rises up. We'll have a regular practice tomorrow, our flight isn't until 8 at night, and we'll be able to go to practice. He'll have to have his eyes dilated, and that's not a fun feeling. ...
You wouldn't expect him to be as smooth or as in-tune as he would be after a few days of practice. Unfortunately, we have the two games before next week's tournament."

On Nikola Dragovic:
"Nikola's not practicing today because his sprained ankle more than his sore shoulder. His X-rays were negative. He was in a boot. The shoulder is an issue, too, he did jam the shoulder. Hopefully, he'll be able to play. I think his shoulder felt better on Sunday when he came in for treatment and a little better yesterday."

On Brendan Lane:
"Lane was actually better yesterday. Based on yesterday, I expect him to practice today."

Hey Coach please address the media about SOME MORE potential busts:

On Jerime Anderson:

Jerime is a good kid, with a great heart. Unfortunately, his transcript landed on my desk when it should have gone to the University of Southwest Oregon State. I don't see him as a good fit for the team next year and he will transfer to make room for Ray M.

On Anthony Stover:

He's 7 feet tall and played against Div 5 opponents. The next tallest player was a 6'5 whitey with no game. He went to a small school, so I decided to red-shirt him. He drastically needs to get better on the offensive and defensive sides of the ball. "Another raw player"

On Michael Moser:

He's a slasher. He slashes out of the locker room to first seat on the bench. He goes to church to pray for playing time but I'd rather give minutes to a tough guy. My tough guy is from Europe where "D" has not been taught but I'm impressed with his 3's. I guess his lack of made 3's, explains why he beats up his girlfriend.

On Bobo:

HUGE heart and calves. Crowd favorite, although he can't catch, and just does not have any game. He also was really overrated coming out of high school. He's a clown. We can see him laughing on the court at his missed shots. I will keep him around instead of making room for a McDonald's All American.

If Jerime Anderson is on this team next year, I bail on UCLA basketball! If COACH BH does not make the tny nxt year - He's fired! Gut your staff, improve the recruiting and also fire the trainer...

THIS IS U-C-L-A BASKETBALL!
