Recruiting Reset
With Ray McCallum Jr. and Trey Ziegler staying at home UCLA has to move quickly on another set of players.
The Bruins only have six guys on scholarship returning - Lee, Anderson, Nelson, Honeycutt, Lane and Stover - with Josh Smith, Tyler Lamb and Lazeric Jones on the way. That leaves a few scholarships left over.
UCLA should try to lock down Jon Loyd of Bishop Gorman, Deonte Burton of Compton Centennial, though power forward Terrence Jones out of Portland is still available.
There's also a possibility that Matt Carlino, a SG out of Arizona, could leave high school early, and the Bruins should make a real push for him right now. Here's his profile: Carlino

Not looking like the ship will turn next year. .500 seems to be likely. Fack
Time is running out for the Bruins. They still need to find a coach or two or three.
Just want to say it's funny that Carlino profile link is not his profile, but it links goes to a Scout forum post considering the possibility of getting Carlino.
Why didn't we get involved with someone like Cory Joseph (scout #22 overall and lives in NV and still undecided) when we saw things were slowing down with McCallum?
Again, why no Dwayne Polee Jr.? I have heard from two basketball friends of mine that he is the best basketball player they've seen in Los Angeles Unified in 20 years. They say he is a freak. Does anyone know why UCLA isn't after him? Has he rejected them flat out? Grades? Attitude?
