Sermons taken off field in ambulance
Sophomore cornerback Brandon Sermons had to be taken off Spaulding Field after colliding with a receiver during individual drills, and Neuheisel said Sermons fractured his femur.
Sermons collapsed to the grass clutching his left leg, and emergency technicians placed an air cast over his left leg before lifting him into the ambulance.
Sermons appeared to be in good spirits, though, and he gave a thumbs up to the cheering crowd.

Hope he has a speedy recovery.
damn! damn! damn!!!! i know every team has injuries, but it seems like we get the worst ones geez.... hope you have a speedy recovery B. I have love for all bruin players, but a special love for the players from the IE so this one hurts my heart
Wish Brandon the best....Hopefully, he'll be back to play this season. Thank God, it wasn't a compound fracture...I'm praying, he'll be at full strength come late July for fall camp.
I was there Thursday for the 1st practice and was fired up by what I saw. The development of talent is really evident. I'm excited at what the ENTIRE coaching staff has accomplished. Granted, it was the teams' first practice. But the talent level and intensity are light years ahead of what they were 3 years ago. I plan to hit every Tues and Thurs Spring Practice. Since I've been assigned to WLA from Downtown, now I have the luxury of sliding over to Spaulding Field after my EOW.
If you happen to work or live in the WLA area, please make it a point to attend a/the practice(s). The fan turnout was really good and I think the kids appreciate the support!
Yes...Our schedule is brutal this upcoming season, but something tells me our football team is really going to turn the corner as a program, overall.
Go BRUINS!!!
Wow! Just viewed CRN's press video after today's practice. I was hoping Brandon's injury was just a hairline fracture. CRN indicated the damage was extensive and required surgery. Bummer...Again, wishing Brandon a strong and speedy recovery...
