1) have we scrapped the pro style offense or does the revolver run the same plays as the pro just with different options for the qb? - MaltbaaNeuheisel and Chow keep saying they have not tossed the base offense, and that the Revolver will simply supplement it, but I don't see how that's possible. You can't be only halfway committed.
2) Any players thinking of transferring to UCLA (both sports)? - AnonymousI've heard some unfounded rumors about a pair of basketball transfers, but I haven't seen it anywhere.
3) what have you heard about Darius Bell (Khalil's brother)? - AnonymousI would expect it to be a done deal if he passes the NCAA clearinghouse requirements first. Bell is a Jeremiah Masoli-type without the edge - "Jeremiah would run a guy over if he could, but I'm not trying to do that if I don't have to. 4) Why don't they let Mike Harris play the blindside and let RT be the position to battle it out? - AnonymousThey don't look at Harris as the answer on the left side. He's better suited for the right side.
5) Cal plays Nevada three weeks before UCLA this next season. Should I be worried the novelty of the revolver will have less of an impact when the Bruins play the Bears? Or is it just a matter of execution? - Fan4LifeBrilliant reasoning, and no, this could definitely play a factor in that game. Neuheisel and Co. would have to switch some things up a bit.
I'm sorry if this has been discussed before, but I am curious about Milton Knox. When I have seen him play I believe he brings a great dimension of shiftiness to the running game and would be a strong compliment to a downhill back like Coleman. I also understand that Knox is a receiving threat out of the backfield.
So, I don't get it. I am no expert. Is he not as good as I think he is? Do the coaches not like him or see something very weak in his game? Is it his blocking ability? Thanks.

So, let me get this straight. Norm Chow, the great Norm Chow, couldn't figure out how to get UCLA's worthless offense going and had to steal a gimmick offense from a WAC school? Ugh... the football team is going to stink. At least I can watch the local team win a few games because Jim Harbaugh isn't garbage.

As a pay site, aren't you stealing privileged quotes from Scout.com - where is the journalistic integrity ?
Geez, people over react about stuff. He credited where the quote came from. Heck, nowadays the news is MOSTLY one source quoting another.
Right now I am not sure guys transferring from the BB program is such a bad thing. We finished 4 games below .500 in a confernce filled with junk. Seems like nearly every job should be up for grabs and if you are not willing to compete, move on.
the question was in regards to players transfering TO ucla, not FROM.

It's good that people are concerned with plagerism in this era of communications saturation.
Read our book "Elements of Style" and you'll find that it is not only perfectly legal, but moral, to quote another's work, as long as attribuion is given.
The quote was perfectly reflected, with the author and 'periodical' properly cited.
As we said last century --- don't get your long-johns in a knot!
If you're going to cite Strunk and White, at least spell "Strunk" and "plagiarism" correctly . . . .

It's been hinted at, alluded to, and even stated point blank that Knox is not progressing in his blocking assignments. In another offense, that might be okay, but in ours - the one with the glass jaw quarterbacks - blocking is critical. Hence, Knox has seen more bench than turf. It's sad, because he's well above average with the ball in his hands.
I've never heard definitively whether or not it's an issue of failure to learn or refusal to adapt. I heard he's a good kid, though, so it's probably the former.

While my friend MArk Twain said that he didn't see any use in having a uniform and arbitrary way of spelling words. I think correct spelling, indeed, is one of the arts that are far more esteemed by schoolma'ams than by practical men, neck-deep in the heat and agony of the world.
By the way, I also think that someone writing anonymously if far worse than being part of the boobwazie, it is the height of D-baggedness.
