Missing out on a story

Hey guys,

Now, I come to you for help. I saw a Bruins Nation post from a UCLA grad about his father-in-law, a Japanese-American, receiving an honorary UCLA degree because his internment in the Manzanar Camp derailed his education. (Here’s a link, by the way: ). Unfortunately, I saw the post after the fact.

Here’s where you come in:

I live to tell that kind of story – and this Kermit Alexander story by my boy Tom Friend that absolutely floored me – but I don’t always hear about it. I’m not saying flood my inbox if a former Bruin throws a touchdown or goes 2-3 with a jack. But really, I’d rather get a thousand emails for one good story than none at all.

My email is jon.gold@dailynews.com, and don’t be shy. I’m genuinely upset I missed out on this story, and I don’t want it to happen again.

Thanks for the help.
