10 yrs gone,
your not alone in your opinion of norm chow but i feel like i need to remind you of how bare Dorrell left the cupboard. There was not one play maker on offense in Chows first year. Second year, we had a freshmen qb running the system not to mention an oline unit that will not full revover for at least 5 recruiting season. And dont forget Chows first year we were starting a JC QB. SO in reality CHow has only had one year with a skilled yet freshmen qb. GIve the guy a break, its not about the x's and o's it about the jimmies and joes.

@10 yrs impatient:

Give the man some time to build an empire, it won't happen over night for chrissakes. Please, in a couple years, when UCLA is a top 10 team again, please write back and tell everyone what an idiot you were. Until then, go back to arm chair quarterbacking and leave the coaching to coaches. You obviously don't know a thing.

If you click on the article and read down, you'll see another link for top Pac-10 QBS:

Dave Curtis:
10. Kevin Prince, UCLA: I have to trust that last year's experience, plus another year under Rick Neuheisel and Norm Chow, will make this guy better in 2010. [yet still rates him #10 - behind Mustain at #6)

---------------------------

Matt Hayes:
#10. Kevin Prince, UCLA: At some point, all that coaching from two guys who know the position as well as anyone—Norm Chow and Rick Neuheisel—has to sink in. (yet still rates him 4 slots behind a back-up --- who's no Matt Cassel)

-----------------------

FYI - Just below these rating is this citation:

I am glad others are sticking with Chow. There is no way a guy has this much experience and success and suddenly forgets how to coach. In case people don't remember, Jay Norvell didn't exactly light it up. Neither did Jim Svboda. At some point, the players (provided they are skilled) have to be accountable for executing.

As for why he has only gotten Brehaut in here, lets face it, the world is full of front-runners. If you are a top-guy you want to play at a top program, which we are not right now. We need someone to step up and exceed expectation in order to break the cycle. That could have been Ben Olson if he wasn't so fragile.
