1) Both Morgan and Moser came to UCLA as essentially their second choice after bowing out of previous commitments due to coaching changes. Given that neither really worked out at UCLA, should we conclude that Howland is done recruiting guys in similar situations? - Anonymous
I wouldn't say he's "done" recruiting them, but he certainly will be more cautious, and he should be.
2) Jon, great stuff! Thank you. Do you think Norm Chow is being used to the fullest? At the Spring Scrimmage, he seemed to be standing off to the side, while the head coach ran everything. Shouldn't Norm be given control of the offense? - MarkPav
Norm has control of the offense. Neuheisel is Neuheisel and yes he wants to be heard, but this is Chow's offense. The Spring game was not the time for teaching, it was the time for observation, so Chow wasn't talking much. But he's in charge.
3) How soon do you think Tebow will start as qb for the Broncos? - MarkPav
Ugh. The reality is sinking in. Tim Tebow is the QB of the future. Pardon me if I'm not doing backflips. Well, I can't do backflips, but if I could, I wouldn't. I love the kid as a team leader and as a guy just to have on the team and playing various positions. But I don't like him as a QB and I definitely don't like him as a first-round QB and I definitely, definitely don't like him as a first-round QB who was traded for three other draft picks. But at least he's no Jake Plummer. *@$& Jake Plummer.
4) Shall we assume Tyler Lamb will play some 3 -- at least during practice? - Spencer
Yeah, he should play some three. But not much, I don't think.
5) Do you think that J'mison Morgan was dismissed from the team for attitude problems? - Spencer
Attitude and production, yes.

Tim Tebow is the most slanderously criticized player I've ever seen. Of course, some do love him, but the majority of the American population delight in hating the kid. I can't figure out why. He's a devout Christian, (aren't most Americans??), he is tremendously athletic, he is very smart, he is willing to learn and improve, he has tireless work ethics, he is a true leader of men (the kind of guy others are willing to follow into the gates of Hell), he is a winner, he is a TEAM player, he has no criminal issues, he doesn't whine and complain in the locker room, he shows respect to everybody he meets, he has improved his throwing mechanics, he is passionate, he is not afraid to wear his emotions on his sleeve, and he will provide the Broncos with a dangerous offensive weapon the likes of which they have never seen...since Elway. In fact, he is faster and much more agile than Elway. With the necessary coaching and a quality offense around him, he will be lights out for the next 10-15 years. Rejoice, Jon. The Broncos won't suck while Tim is pulling the trigger.
Please stick to my brother as a player and leave the whole 'Christian' issue at the door. It has nothing to do with his athleticism, but it does have much to do with his 'celebrity.'
On that note, Timmy loves to swaddle himself in being a devout 'Christian," yet he and our missionary parents prosletize, not just Jesus's words, but also that mainline Christian churches, i.e. Catholics, Anglican, and Lutherans...are not 'real' Christians.
Most Americans may be Christian (I don't know how devout) but they don't question the level of Christianity among their fellow believers.
Alas, brother Timmy invites scorn as a hypocrit when he professes Christians priciples, since his falls short of HIS principles.
Dear Tom
Please learn to spell 'hypocrite' before you slander a conscientious young man.
Typographical errors aside, at least he used the word correctly. It would be libel, not slander - though that was not a libelous argument.
