Wears granted release from North Carolina

| | Comments (10) |

The Wear twins, David and Travis, have been released from their scholarships at North Carolina and are free to transfer. It has been reported the Wears will attend UCLA, but I've been told that it's not 100 percent yet. As of now, I expect it to happen, and will report it as a done deal when I get confirmation.

With the state of Bruin basketball, we'll take 'em. They can't be any worse than Drago; i.e., so far, no reports of domestic abuse.

UNC fans bitter that they are leaving. UCLA fans lukewarm about the possibility of them coming. Maybe lukewarm is the wrong word. Contemptuous.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, if can get twin big men, you take them. I think it's great they can take a year to bulk up and get used to the system. Presupposing no early defections, I could see a team of Smith, Wear (x2), Honeycutt, and Nelson, which in mind is Final Four capable. Only thing missing is a point guard.

screw these kids. WHy give them a 2nd chance? They choose UNC. They should finish what they started. It's stupid to waste two rides in stiffs like these kids. Quitters.
