AP reports Oregon dismisses Masoli
It appears that Jeremiah Masoli could not get his act together, and Chip Kelly has officially booted him. This is not a huge surprise. Oregon has prepared for his absence for the next season following a one-year suspension, and there is talk Darron Thomas could jump ahead of Nate Costa for the starting gig. Thomas is only a sophomore, Costa a senior, and Kelly could choose to look toward the future.

That's rough for them. With such an easy schedule and coming off a strong season, it'll be interesting to see how they cope. I don't think the Pac-10 needs to be as worried anymore, since the Oregon crazy spread offense depends on an extremely athletic and mobile QB. I honestly don't think any of the Pac-10 offenses will be insane this year compared to 2009. Oregon loses Masoli, Gerhart is gone, Vareen (sp?) isn't Best, and I'm not buying into the Washington hype just yet.
Always sorry to hear this kind of thing. A wasted opportunity. It isn't just the money and security he might have been able to provide himself and his family but the lack of self discipline will dog him his whole life long.

Is it just me or is there an echo in here?
I wonder if Thomas has learned a lesson from this incident?
I wonder if MichaelRyerson has learned a lesson from this incident?
Oregon has an easy schedule?? They are at Tennessee, at USC, at Oregon St., at Cal. That seems pretty decent to me. Ill give you Portland State and New Mexico.
Hey maybe he can transfer to USC. He would fit right in
I wonder if Coach Tom has learned a lesson from this incident............or at all, really.
