Pac-16 reportedly a go
Chip Brown of Orangebloods.com, who has simply been the MAN in all this Pac-10 expansion talks, has written that it looks like it's a go. Except the new six might be changing a bit.
Brown reports that Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State will join the Pac-10 as early as next week, but that Texas A&M is now flirting with the SEC. If the Aggies go east, either Utah or Kansas could gobble up the extra spot.
Here's a link to the story: I'm an idiot. Here's the link.

The link didn't come through. Can you post it please?
Interesting note about the new league pushing for 2 automatic BCS entries (since the Big 12 will no longer have an automatic entry) - one presumably from each division...
Texas FB and Kansas BB in the Pac n?
Awesome!
love it. this will be GREAT for UCLA and the rest of the PAC.
Oh man... This would be awesome. I would LOVE to replace A&M with Kansas. What a great bball conf we would have with UCLA, Texas, Oklahoma, AZ, and Kansas.
Not only that, but Kansas City is #31 TV market versus Lubbock (#148). That makes the conference even more likely to get better airtime.
Texas A&M can go to the SEC and get pounded by the likes of Florida, Alabama, and LSU on a regular basis. I have no problem with that. I would very much rather have Kansas over A&M and Utah simply because the Jayhawks offer a much superior basketball program to the Pac-16 conference.
Kansas would be even better than the Aggies, especially bringing in the BB program.
Pulling in "the City" on the Mighty Missouri, would also open up cable TV into northern Missouri for recruiting.
