UCLA releases Wooden statement
From UCLA:
"UCLA confirms that Coach John Wooden is at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center but, per wishes of family, will not comment on his condition. No one from the Wooden Family or UCLA staff is available for interviews regarding Coach Wooden."
On a related note, I was told that Bill Walton was in the hospital visiting Coach on Tuesday.

The greatest coach, mentor, humanitarian, friend, and family man. It's been an honor sharing this time on Earth with him. He's made me so proud to be a Bruin.
Coach Wooden has been an inspiration to so many, on so many levels, for so long. The standards he set at UCLA continues to be the benchmark for all college athletics. Beyond sports, everyone should read his books and learn from his outlook on life.
There are many reasons why I am proud to be a UCLA alum, and Coach Wooden is one of the biggest. Thank you so much Coach Wooden, not just for what you did on the basketball court, but also giving bits of wisdom that help make us better people.
