Check out the latest batch of weekly answers...

1) Offensive line and wide receiver have been a huge point of focus for UCLA in the 2011 recruiting season, but we keep on missing on both. Marcus Martin and Blackwell have committed to USC, Andre Yruretagoyena and Kasen Williams just cut us from their list. Why are we having so many issues getting high caliber recruits at those positions this year? - Anonymous
Because it ain't that easy, man. Going 4-8 and 7-6 isn't going to get the top players in the country to just jump on a plane and come over. UCLA has been able to sell kids on potential and excitement. Clearly, it's worked. Now it has to work on the field. Oh, and another thing: IT'S JUNE. Calm down.

2) So the JC semester has been over for quite some time now. When are we going to here about Darius Bell? Does he have summer classes to complete or something? - Maltbaa
From what I've heard, credit transfer is something of an issue right now, and is trying to be resolved.

3) Im hearing Brett HUndley is going to be on campus this week, you think you can get an interview for us even though youll be in Omaha? What are the chances he commits to you before CRN? - Maltbaa
I think he postponed his trip until next week. I'll try to get him on the horn from Omaha, but most of my attention will be on UCLA baseball. I should have a very, very thorough interview with Scout.com's Brandon Huffman about the skills and OL/DL camp this weekend, though.

4) If USC appeals, the appeals process will basically take them past signing day next year, meaning they will play this year (and bowl game) and recruit as though there are no sanctions in place. I know that officially any team can ask current juniors/seniors if they are interested in transferring...do you know if that would be extended another year (to current soph) if the appeal fails? - MikeHclassof90
As long as a team has an active postseason ban, I believe players can request transfers to non-conference schools without sitting a year.

5) Any updates on Maka or Koster? Does either one have decent shot at playing this year? Both looked great on highlight films. Koster looks like Christian Taylor...a coach on the field. - Resource Guy
The last I heard on Maka, there were still complications. Until I see him on the field, I won't be sold. Koster looked really good out there, and I think he really surprised some coaches. Kid worked his tail off. That's what's most impressive about this group of linebackers - they really follow Lea's lead and have that energy.
