Weekly Answers, Pt. 6

Check out the latest batch of weekly answers…

1) How will the d-line be this year? All those young bodies look good down the road but what about this year? – Nick
I think it will be better than people think, but not spectacular. David Carter has looked really, really good. I think Justin Edison is talented, and Nate Chandler is a beast. Damien Holmes has even surprised me. But the loss of Datone Jones cannot be understated, and they need to pray they get him back.

2) How’d the high school kids at the game on un-officials enjoy the game? Any thoughts, rumors or stories there? – spedjones
I haven’t heard much, but at the same time, I haven’t done much digging with camp going on and my football preview coming out soon. I tried calling Hundley, but he’s in school and is tough to get a hold of.

3) Jon, so what are Kai Maiavas options now? medical red shirt? or try to make a comeback? Thanks – lasportsfan(noSC!!)
If he’s out for the year, I’d assume they’d apply for a medical redshirt. If Neuheisel’s comments are correct, and he could be back by late-October, you push for late-October.

4) De’Anthony Thomas was switched to having low interest in us from Scout on Friday then on Saturday it was reported that he was at the scrimmage, does this mean he is still checking us out? – Anonymous
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, and I’ll probably say it until signing day: It ain’t over.

5) With all of the promising young talent, here is a fun guessing game. Which football player will have the best (most productive) career as a Bruin. Which player will have the best career in the NFL? – Thymoid
Rahim Moore for both.
