Here's my defensive depth chart for the upcoming college football preview...

Defensive End: Damien Holmes, 97, 6-3, 265, So. - Datone Jones' injury paves way for Holmes, now he must deliver
Owamagbe Odighizuwa, 6-4, 240, Fr.

Defensive Tackle: David Carter, 85, 6-5, 301, Sr. - Performed well in spot time, but loss of Brian Price means more pressure
Donovan Carter, 6-1, 280, So.

Defensive Tackle: Justin Edison, 99, 6-4, 290, Jr. - Spring camp success story has to provide every-down reliability
Cassius Marsh, 6-4, 285, Fr.

Defensive End: Nate Chandler, 89, 6-5, 290, Jr. - Converted tight end bulked up in offseason, drew raves from coaches
Iuta Tepa, 6-1, 248, So.

Outside Linebacker: Akeem Ayers, 10, 6-4, 255, Jr. - Projected high draft pick will be monster on stat sheet
Isaiah Bowens, 6-1, 241, RS Fr.

Middle Linebacker: Steve Sloan, 43, 6-4, 228, Jr. - Eked out tough offseason battle with Larimore for starting role
Patrick Larimore, 6-3, 249, So.

Outside Linebacker: Sean Westgate, 11, 5-11, 217, Jr. - Oak Park product plays beyond size, but can he handle every down?
Glenn Love, 6-4, 220, Jr.

Cornerback: Sheldon Price, 22, 6-2, 178, So. - Being picked on last year has prepared him for increased scrutiny
Courtney Viney, 5-8, 168, Jr.

Strong Safety: Tony Dye, 6, 5-11, 205, Jr. - Steady presence at safety, but Riley creeping up fast after impressive camp
Dietrich Riley, 6-0, 201, Fr.

Free Safety: Rahim Moore, 3, 6-1, 196, Jr. - Nation's top safety could be first-rounder with big season
Dalton Hilliard, 6-0, 192, So.

Cornerback: Aaron Hester, 21, 6-1, 203, So. - Tabbed starter going into '09 but broken leg dashed big dreams
