Split End: Nelson Rosario, 83, 6-5, 218, Jr. - Poised for breakout after emerging as threat late in season
Ricky Marvray, 5-11, 188, RS Fr. OR Randall Carroll, 5-10, 186, So.

Christian Ramirez, 6-2, 215, Sr.
Left Tackle: Sean Sheller, 72, 6-5, 300, Sr. - Once-touted lineman finally getting chance to prove himself
Brett Downey, 6-7, 302, So.
Left Guard: Darius Savage, 77, 6-4, 339, Sr. - With injuries, attrition, valuable reserve gets in starting lineup
Chris Ward, 6-4, 318, Fr.
Center: Ryan Taylor, 66, 6-3, 298, Sr. - Must step into center's role with Kai Maiava's broken ankle
Greg Capella, 6-4, 320, RS Fr.

Right Tackle: Micah Kia, 73, 6-5, 321, Sr. - Returns from torn ACL to become vocal leader, team captain
Mike Harris, 6-5, 319, Jr.
Tight End: Cory Harkey, 87, 6-5, 259, Jr. - Big target a key in run-blocking, but needs more production
Joseph Fauria, 6-7, 259, So.
Quarterback: Kevin Prince, 4, 6-2, 230, So. - Up-and-down freshman season showed glimpses of hope, but consistency needed
Richard Brehaut, 6-2, 222, So.
Tailback: Johnathan Franklin, 23, 5-10, 198, So. - Returning leading rusher lost role last year to fumbling issues
Derrick Coleman, 6-0, 231, Jr.
Flanker: Taylor Embree, 82, 6-3, 201, Jr. - Steady wideout needs to take big leap - preferably in the endzone
Josh Smith, 6-0, 197, Jr.

Will Jones and Barr redshirt? or will they get plenty of time also? I hate to waste redshirts if they are only going to get 3-5 carries a game.
thoughts?
Given all the time that Josh Smith has missed in practice due to injuries, he should probably be listed in the depth chart along with the addition of "OR" Randall Carroll.
So much for Randall Carroll making an impact. With both guys ahead of him returning next season, he won't have a chance to do anything until his senior year.
What about Anthony Barr? With what I've been reading on this blog the last month, he sounds like the best offensice player on the roster. Shouldn't he be in the two deeps at TE or F-back?
While I wouldn't replace Sua-Filo, for example, with a senior just because he was older, I think the line will be ok, not just because of their age, but because of the combined number of starts. I'm more worried about our QB and the shift to a new offense (which, if it is too different and/or complex, could make everyone a "freshman" because nobody has any experience with it).
Wow seems like everyone is huge!!!
What about Barr? You continue to write about him and all his great plays in practice...and he's not even top 2 on the depth chart?
You know what. Barr will blow up NCAA football for 4 years if we are lucky not to lose them to the leauge. Those 2 are pure athletes who can lead. Both can play both sides of the ball. Barr should not be redshirted and should be utilized.
