Nice article, Jill, thanks.

By the way, haven't seen anything on the Daily News about UCLA hosting the Western Regional of the NIT Preseason (NIT Season Tipoff) tournament.

Haha... Nice article, Jill!

I didn't realize it was your article until I read the bit about the c-section. That's when I thought - there's NO WAY Jon wrote this... Hah!

People would "saddle" up next to Wooden...

Yikes...aren't there any proffreading editors at the forum for San Fernando Valley news????

SADDLE -
1. a girthed usually padded and leather-covered seat for the rider of an animal (as a horse) (
2. a part of a driving harness comparable to a saddle that is used to keep the breeching in place b : a seat to be straddled by the rider of a vehicle (as a bicycle)
3. a device mounted as a support and often shaped to fit the object held
4. a ridge connecting two higher elevations b : a pass in a mountain range
5. both sides of the unsplit back of a carcass including both loins; a colored marking on the back of an animal; the rear part of a male fowl's back extending to the tail.

Doesn't seem to be appropriate since horses aren't allowed inside Pauley.

The word that you probably were looking to use would be SIDLE

Etymology: probably back-formation from sideling
Intransitive verb: to go or move with one side foremost especially in a furtive advance
Transitive verb: to cause to move or turn sideways

Oy Vey...Sorry R.E.M., we're not losing our religion, it's the basics of writing/editing that's going by the wayside!

Jesus, Maria, y Jose!
