So both the KC Star and Stewart Mandel of Sports Illustrated have now claimed that Kevin Prince has a torn back muscle, and not a strained oblique as you've been saying.
What's the real story Jon? Have you been holding out the truth on us in exchange for access?
Every strain/sprain/pull is just a nicer name for a torn muscle. There are grades of tear, from partial to complete, but they are all torn muscles. The oblique muscle is on your side and extends towards your back. So, a strained oblique is the same thing as a torn back muscle.
Hugely different connotations by saying "strained oblique" and "torn back muscle". Also, just because something "extends toward your back" doesn't make it your "back". The language that has been used by 2 other writers makes the injury seem much more serious than has been let on by Jon Gold.
I just got jacked reading that article about how the Kansas State stadium will be rocking with a Pac-10 team coming to town.
Gotta love college football. Too bad people can't bring that kind of spirit to their workplace everyday.
