From the LA Times:
Free safety Rahim Moore was ready to move forward, saying, "This was just our first game. It was a chance to see where we are. It's behind us now. We got work to do. It's over. We're human beings. We're not perfect."
I'm not sure I like this attitude...it's very nonchalant. I don't feel a sense of urgency...the GOAL IS TO TRY TO WIN EVERY GAME! NOT SEE WHERE YOU ARE....COME ON GUYS...ARE YOU FREAKIN KIDDING ME?! I think the success he had last season is still lingering in his dam head. I just don't get it...what will it take to really motivate these guys?
argh, STFU what do expect Rahim to do, freakin cry? you ARE supposed to leave it behind you and start preparing for your next opponent. You will see a very different team come Saturday.
Go Bruins!!
I can't believe it, I agree with something BruinRob has said; I will thus be making an appointment to see a shrink after the holidays.
The beauty of sports is that you can look like a bum one week, and then the next week you're the prom king.
ucla-Stanford will be quite a different story from ucla-Kansas State. K-State could run and not pass, and the Cardinal can pass but don't run real well, so the Westwood defense should do much better.
And I don't foresee bruins dropping passes all over the field again. Moreover, unlike the naysayers here, I like Prince, and he is only going to get better.
LAWYER JOHN
be real, nobody here cares what you think so please quit wasting your time posting. Don't try to be the nice little OJ fan that wants to give his two cents on Bruin sports, as you always have backhanded comments. You guys will have enough to worry about this season, so go enjoy your mediocrity!!
BTW, although we were far from playing a good game, we didn't look like a bum this week.......had we converted the two points it would've been a different game tied up at 24.
FROM THE DESK OF RALPH VON ALBERTSON, ESQ.:
Dear Bruins,
I am never quite sure as to whether UCLA fans spend more time on Wolf’s blog or Gold’s blog, so this letter is posted to both. I write to you today to humbly suggest that, at this early stage of the season, time may yet remain for UCLA to leave the Pac-10 and find a more suitable conference before the Bruins face humiliation at the hands of Harbaugh.
I have done you the favor of collecting a few URL’s of conference home-pages from around the internet, which you may peruse at your leisure. Each of these conferences features at least one team from California, so each would make “geographic sense,” as they say, for UCLA (though you might have to tighten up the academic standards a bit).
www.bigskyconf.com - The Big Sky Conference (which sounds very pleasant), featuring Sacramento State.
www.greatwestconference.org - The Great West Conference, featuring both Cal Poly and UCLA’s sister school, UC Davis.
www.pioneer-football.org - The Pioneer Football League, featuring the San Diego Toreros, which, I am told, is a college football team, and not a professional jai alai team, which would have been my first guess.
And, last but not least - www.thesciac.org - The NCAA Division III-level Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, which includes Occidental College, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, Pomona College, and Whittier College, among others. I suppose UCLA could meet this conference’s academic standards, if the Bruins truly applied themselves. After all, if you’re going to dream, dream big!
Best regards,
Ralph Von Albertson, Esq., Stanford ’95, ‘99

Well, I guess you'd know about facing humiliation at the hands of Harbaugh...
Wow, it is weird seeing a classless Furd troll posting here after beating Sac St.? It is funny because the all-time record between UCLA and Stanford is 45-32-3. In fact, UCLA had won five straight before last year when UCLA lost by 8 with its back-up QB Kevin Craft, at the Furd, against Toby Gerhart.
Harbaugh will leave the always half-empty stadium as soon as Luck does, or when some other team (Michigan, NFL) throws real money at him. But tell you what, UCLA got six sacks against Kansas State. We will sent Akeem Ayers high from the left, Pat Larimore low from the right, and they will meet Mr. Luck in the middle and we will see how he holds up. You can go and chase after his ambulance.
