Turner commits to Arizona
Coveted point guard prospect Josiah Turner committed to Arizona, spurning UCLA, ESPN reported this morning.
Turner, rated the No. 5 point guard by Scout.com, was thought to be a UCLA lean late in the recruiting process, but his recruitment has bounced back and forth. Ben Howland put extensive time into Turner, and now Norman Powell becomes all the more important. As it stands, the Bruins will only have one scholarship next season, unless there are defections or transfers, so this will be an interesting recruiting season for the team.

FOCK !!
Powell's schools of interest:
Arizona: High Interest
San Diego State: High Interest
UCLA: High Interest
Arizona State: Med Interest
Not going to go to Arizona due to Turner. And SD State compared to UCLA??? Come on. The kid wants to play in the NBA, what better platform than Wooden Court? Hopefully Howland can settle him down into the right decision. Too bad about Turner. But I feel about the Ariz basketball program about what I feel towards SC in general, so I hate the kid now. He's one of them.
Jon:
Where does this leave us for PG's? Howland has missed it seems 3 years in a row, starting with Abdul Gaddy, on a PG, I noticed there is only one uncommitted PG out there for us, and it seems to be the biggest need in terms of scholarships, as Anderson is suspect and Laz is unproven and only has 2 years of eligibility.
