1) What number will be higher over the next 9 months: the number of UCLA football victories multiplied by UCLA basketball victories, or Laker wins (including playoffs)? - Warren

I say Laker wins, including playoffs.

2) Career wins by Neuheisel at UCLA or career wins by Karl Dorrell at UCLA? - Warren

Neuheisel, three times as many, when all said and done.

3) I loved...Chuck Bullough, Norm Chow more vanilla than 1950s Iowa, more conservative than Palin. F-

Honestly at what point do Norm, Chuck and Rick finally go all out and throw caution to the wind and become super aggresive alla Coaches: Peterson, Patterson, Kelly and Hill? - Eric T
I don't think either has it in him to be like one of the coaches you mentioned. They really do need to ante it up though. Isn't it better to go down swinging? Isn't it better to go for broke?

4) Bottom line: who is calling the plays: CRN or Chow? - Jungleland

Chow.

5) If Brehaut becomes the starter, do we keep running the Pistol? Is he mobile enough? - richardonthego

That's a legitimate concern, and a good question. I can't help but wonder if the resistance to use Brehaut has to do with a relative lack of speed compared to other quarterbacks in the Pistol. I'm sure they prepared contingency plans if Prince were in fact to be lost, but you have to wonder about the position Brehaut it left in.

hmm.. let's see.. Lakers: 55 games (ish) + 16(playoffs) = 71.

bb = 15 and fb = 4? one more fb win or more bb wins and UCLA gets a chance. This all assuming lakers win the championship. It'll be an interesting wager.. haha

What are the odds that Brehaut transfers? I hope he stays because he seems like a cool guy and he has a heck of an arm. But come one...the coaching staff won't even give him a legitimate shot.

Ugh - stop saying things like that...

"the coaching staff won't even give him a legitimate shot."

Really? He's not practicing with the ones? Have you been to a practice? The kid needs work. I'm not sure Prince is the best at the moment, but don't act as if Brehaut hasn't had a chance to earn the starting job.

Everybody keeps talking about Brehaut as if that's a reasonable option. Listen closely: HE DOESN'T KNOW THE OFFENSE! Hundley will start before Brehaut does if Prince stays healthy.

The Houston game thus far has perfectly illustrated that Chow needed to be more, not less, conservative. And props to Chow for recognizing that.
