Marvray, Sheller suspended against Arizona

From UCLA:

Two members of the Bruin football team have been suspended for one game for violation of team rules, UCLA head football Coach Rick Neuheisel announced today.

Wide receiver Ricky Marvray and offensive tackle Sean Sheller will not play in the Oct. 30 contest against Arizona at the Rose Bowl.

Due to federal and state student privacy laws, UCLA will have no further comment on the matter.

    Let’s avoid any speculation, people…

Can we at least speculate they did something wrong? My darn Centennial Huskies aren’t representing themselves very well this year. It’s a shame because there are so many nice kids there but only the ones with real talent are the knuckle heads.

  • Blue Bruin

To quote Ricky Marvray, “This is pathetic!”

Isn’t this just typical of that renegade school, the cheaters from South Central. It doesn’t even make news when their players display a complete lack of moral integrity. SC will never change.

    Oops, wrong school.

Well a team that smokes dope plays the same way. It takes 3 positives before the 1 game suspension. Pretty damn pathetic!!!!

These two guys dont seem like the weed type. Do you think they were questioning the coaches?

We can criticize Slick Rick and staff without any problems. However, Mavray was critical of his coaches and got ding. Mavray is right. Rick, take it like a man. Bend over and take it, I say.

the LA TIMES prints lies. those biased “reporters” print any rumor having to do with ucla and never for usc.

  • Hot Bruin

This symptomatic of what is going on with the team as a whole. The players aren’t buying into Neu’s rah rah B.S. any more and are looking for something to distract them for this nightmare. Expect more of this. I would not be surprised to see many players transfer out at the end of the season.

I love how Rick has cleaned up the program. Cleaning it of wins and abilities to compete for Pac-10 championship. Good job Rick. You are the Lehman Brothers of sports. You are the Versus channel of sports.

    BE REAL:

What do you know about suspensions? At SUC players do up downs for Rape Arrests.

Unless you know what these players were suspended for, I suggest you STFU. That goes for the rest of you speculators as well.

    BE REAL:

And what happened to Markeith Ambles? Suspended indefinitely? Whoops.
