Jon, Dye is a great interview. He seems not only bright and articulate, but very accessible and approachable. Do you choose to do Quotables with him more frequently because he is very open to it, or more because he is such a good interview?

Because he's such a good interview. I get four-five interviews per day on Tuesday and Wednesday, and as many as time permits after games, so I need to make sure I get print quotes in addition to good video.

Actually, Cal was not the #1 team a few years ago. The #1 team that week had already lost and Cal was #2. They would have become #1 with a win, but loss on a horrible play by Kevin Riley as time expired.
