Travis Wear injured
Travis Wear, the 6-foot-10 transfer from North Carolina, suffered a sprained ankle a couple of days ago and hasn't practiced the last two days, Ben Howland said during a conference call tonight. He sprained his right ankle, a first for Wear.
``Typically, when you sprain an ankle for the first time it's a little worse,'' Howland said. ``He'll probably be out a minimum of another week. That would be my guess.''

FYI Jill: Travis Wear isn't playing in any games this year, so this doesn't really can't as news...
An injury is only news if the player is eligible to play this season? That's news to me.
If it requires surgery or a major rehab, then it's a different story. A tweaked ankle from a guy who's not suiting up is not news.
Disagree with 1st comment.
On the other hand, I find it hard to believe this is the first time he's ever sprained his ankle. O_o
Sprains hurt the worst the first time, he'll be good though. Lucky it didn't happen to a eligible player though.
A few questions:
1. Was it the first time Travis has sprained an ankle or the first time he has sprained his right ankle?
2. Has David ever sprained his ankle?
3. Through the link that twins reportedly share, did David feel anything?
4. Did Travis sprain the ankle during practice?
5. What are the chances this is a high ankle sprain?
It's news because the Bruins' injury curse is affecting even players who can't play.
Blue Bruin, Jill is sharing information with us that most fans don't have access to. If you don't care about it, then don't read it.
Jill, don't pay any attention to him--Blue Bruin is a reputed troll, and will go away soon.
+1 BruinADub...
Blue Bruin there's a blog for idiots líke you. It's Scott Wolf's blog. Do us real fans a favor and get lost!
hey Blue Bruin,
Show some class, please. News of an injury to a key recruit, even one who has to sit out playing in actual games this season, is important to the team and fans because, since he plays against our starters and reserves in practice, he can, thus, drive them to compete more and play better. So the fact he can't participate IS news.
Jill, any update on how Brett Favre's loss last night has affected Kahlil Bell?
Isn't Bell on the Bears? Im sure he is thrilled that a division rival lost and Favre the guy responsible.
Jill, I'm sure you know that people on this blog are gonna crush you for whatever you say. You could have the biggest scoop of the day... announce Quinn Cook committed to UCLA and there still would be people mocking your comments. Sorry you have to put up with this, but clearly they are doing it, thinking they're being funny. Sorry you have to deal with it. Keep up the good work filling in when needed.
Ha ha... No, but this made me laugh!
