Washington 10, UCLA 7

Someone forgot to tell UCLA the second half started.
Washington moved down the field with ruthless ease in the running game before a UCLA defensive stand near the goal line, holding the Huskies to an Eric Folk field goal.

Drive Time: 9 plays, 68 yards, 3:46

That's it. I'm out. I can't watch this crappola any more. After 10 years of this junk, with only minor reprieves, I just can't watch it anymore. I think a decade of this awful football is enough, especially for a great athletic university like Ucla. Good luck. I'm done.

I won the ucla closest to the score contest two weeks ago, although I really did not win it. I protested, but Gold did not name the true winner. And so I presented my ten questions to the bruin of my choice. But Gold as usual ignored me.

And so this is ucla football of the present and the future. Good luck bruins with your football team and with your Gold. Although Gold is truly fools gold You deserve both.

I am sure Gold will delete this post, typical of Gold.
Besides, ucla sports are a bore, so I am out of here!

I totally feel your pain. What the f@@@?! I live for UCLA football season. But 10 years of heartbreak minus 2006 is just too much to deal with it. I wish I didn't care so much but I do. No faith in our coaching staff whatsoever. Maybe Brady Hoke is next up.

This is reminiscent of the second Notre Dame loss in terms of overall ineptitude and futility. They started off well, washington made adjustments, and we failed to respond. Maybe we should drop football since the University doesn't seem to care about being embarassed on a national stage.

What happened to the UCLA offense? Not just this year, or last year, or the year before...it is ridiculous. We are not in the top 100 in offense. Norm Chow is supposed to be this great offensive and QB guru - who has he improved? Tunney? First you get Prince, a #40 ranked QB with the game to match. Then you got Brehaut, who was a #9 QB but for some reason Chow wants Prince to play more, except he is injured all the time. Brehaut has had two years to do SOMETHING, except he can't really run, or pass.

Bottom line - the excuses were wearing thin before this year. This year, the excuses are the same as before, no real progress. Not a happy time in Bruin land. And it's going to get worse...

Still no Offensive Line, barely gets a push on the run game and can't protect the QB. And with a bunch of 3 star recruits coming in, no help there.

Still no skill players - we all heard about the great skill player recruiting. Thigpen? Barr? Jones? Fauria? Marvray? Carroll? Where is the development? Where are these guys at all?

Still no D-line, for some reason we're still playing true freshmen up front - seems to be a trend since Chase Moline. Again, no recruits coming in there to help. Same old story, can't stop the run, can't generate a pass rush.

I don't see improvement, I see consistency in the lack of consistency. I see bad penalties taken over and over (personal fouls, holding, pass interference etc.) Players suspended seemingly weekly for smoking weed, kicked out of the program for stealing from other students.

Where is the accountability?

The paid attendance (not the freebies given to elementary students in the end zone) at the ASU game will show the administration just how much LA supports its Bruins...not.

Wow! what a joke. I'm done until this coaching staff is fired. it's their players, their qb's. amazing that this major university is embarrassed by it's football program the last decade. What a farce. Would not suprise me if players left. Big deal.....over rated anyway. Good luck the rest of the season. I'll find something else to do until a change is made.

Thank God that Lawyer John is out of here. Don't come back. You pollute this blog as much as our "offense" pollutes the football field. Good riddance.

Pretty obvious UCLA football is worse today than it was under Karl Dorrell. How could any high school kid watching that game tonight want to be part of the UCLA program. They are a disaster.

Where is Jon? Is the score still 10-7? I can't wait to see how the game ends. Keep up the good work, Jon.

Given UCLA's fragility at the QB position, Bell has to be better prepared to come in off the bench.

It's called a deadline Thom, and in newspaper journalism, they're usually right on the heels of an evening game's conclusion. He can't always be here to coddle and spoonfeed ingrates like you on a FREE blog.

Keep up the whining, Thom--you sound like that POS VD.

The Bruins are a very poorly coached football team! They QUIT tonight! Iam done with Weisel, he is a fraud! Relentlessly positive my ass, show me one coach in America that berates his QB every time they screw up? maybe a pat on the back once in a pressure situation would be positive you idiot when your young you have to coach better This staff SUCKS we will finish 4-8
Dorrell wasa a better coach than weisel and he sucked too
