Update on Sean Sheller

I was just told that Sean Sheller’s appeal to the NCAA for a sixth year of eligibility will be sent in this week, and they hope to know by March. Getting Sheller back would be absolutely huge for the football team, which stands to have four of its five offensive linemen set between Kai Maiava, Jeff Baca, Mike Harris and Chris Ward.

Whats so funny? Any do you have a real name or just want to be anonymous…?

I honestly don’t understand why everyone seems to want Sheller back. Of the entire Offensive line he gave up the most sacks. In the Oregon game alone he gave up two sacks for fumbles. He was constantly beat on the speed rush, and if it wasnt for Brehaut stepping up in the pocket he would have given up more. So until Xman comes back in 2012, I think UCLA needs to find something else. Probably put Baca back at the OT spot and finding a guard that can compete, like Capella or Yandall.

Now that Hoke is going to Michigan I wonder if we have a shot at Rocky Long for DC or Al Borges for OC

Long is out. Rocky was just hired as head coach at San Diego State!

And right now there is no opening for OC. That job belongs to the esteemed Mr. Norm Chow!

Another update: Al Borges will be Michigan’s new OC working for Brady Hoke. Oh well …
