ATV one of my all time favorite BRUINS.This guy is grade A man!I was at the Dallas vs Tenesse game and I remember being so excited that I was not only gonna watch My favorite team DA BOYS but I also had the chance to see mr favorite BRUIN.Than ATV picks6 off ROMO in the final minutes of the game to seal the win.All I could do was laugh. What could I say, that's my boy!
Great long talk. ATV is awesome...obviously a great football players but also a great humble person.
I loved watching ATV from the time he was a freshman. I'm sure this is a fine interview. But don't you write anymore? I don't come here for handicam interviews, I come to this blog for professional writing. No wonder my page views are down to three or four a week these days.
Do I write anymore? Do you subscribe to the Daily News, where I have stories about five days a week, down from 10+ during the football season? Would you like me to personally email you my Verner feature that's coming out in the newspaper later this week? Just let me know, and I'll get it for you and you alone.
Don't get your panties in a bunch, it just seems that there's an awful lot of video content, and not nearly as much writing on this blog as in the past. I have the RSS feed in my toolbar, so when I see an interesting headline it seems that more often than not it's a video feature and not a written article. This ATV post is a prime example. I enjoy your written work, and I don't care for the video so much. I don't hit the Daily News much - but I use to hit this blog fifteen, twenty times a day. Now, I don't so much. If you don't get feedback from your readers/viewers, how will you know what's working for us, other than seeing your hits deteriorate?
A quick check of the last 25 posts show that two were links or references to other reporters stories, three were press releases, seven were videos and thirteen were original, written pieces. Several of those were updates to previous posts or introducing new material to a previous story. Also included were your Q&A's. So, while you clearly are writing, it's about half the posts, and video has taken on a little more than a quarter of the posts. You are obviously writing more than I noticed, maybe I've been hitting the Neuheisal Chow saga and ATV posts more because of my interest in those subjects. Good luck to you.
The videos have replaced written "Quotable" recaps, saving me the time - though it takes a long time to make each video - and providing the reader/viewer the chance to get the feel and tone of an interview. I'm not doing anything differently from last year, except not typing out the interviews.
So when you tally up the votes, put mine in the "Prefers the written interviews" column. Maybe I need to adjust how I consume my news, but I like a newspaper to be written and TV news to be video. This crossover is just making me cranky.
The newspaper is written. This is a blog.
