YEAH BABY!!!! Finally. Let's run some spread. I've said this all along and maybe CRN finally realizes it. The spread is specifically tailored for and is the perfect offense for a team with glaring issues on the OL. It is also perfect for a team with multiple offensive weapons, which I'm convinced we have. Imagine having guys like Barr, Carroll, Franklin, Jones, James, Presley, Thigpen, and Rosario all on the field at the same time, or any combination of those guys. 5 receiver sets? Woooooo. We should have been running the Spread with Brehaut from the get.
Mike is a HUGE spread offense guy, who has run and studied multiple offensive sets, including the Pistol. But he is right, we need to mix it up. Keep the defense on it's heels. I remember watching the Cal game last year, and just wondered in amazement at all the different looks and plays Tedford ran at us. He ran Spread, he ran option, he ran Pro, he ran some WCO, and some zone read. It was unreal. Our D had no shot that day. Let's get after it Mike.
GO BRUINS!!!!
