Brotherly...love?
Tracy Pierson of Scout.com and I had a big laugh over the video of Torian White (one down on the right) choosing the USC hat today during his signing ceremony, and the reaction of his little brother, who looks petrified: A Family Affair
Dunno if I'd say he looks petrified, Jon. However it seems pretty clear that there's a dramatic change in his expression before and after Torian's announcement.

:48 His brother Jason White cracks a grin, then slyly looks down. You can see his cheeks puff a little as Torian's ready to pick a cap - this is a smile.
:56 Jason looks up with obvious surprise as the FOX Sports broadcaster says the words, "You're going to USC?!?". Take a close look here: Eyebrows suddenly raised. forlorn cheeks, loosened mouth muscles. The expression on Jason's face is unmistakable: Surprise & disappointment.
1:26 At the biggest moment in Torian's life to date, Jason is faced 180 degrees away and won't even look at him. Crossed arms, he looks up suddenly at his Mom. (Who is clearly ecstatic. More on that later.)
2:00 After looking up at his Mom and saying something, he faces the camera and unconciously shakes his head, his bottom lip pursed in pout.
(One more thing: Joe White made a comment about "people pushing to USC" but didn't disclose who those people were, but if you listen to the uncontrolled female squeal of delight at :59, and I think you've got your answer as to who those people were. Need more? Watch the following minute after the announcement and there is only one person on camera that's smiling, and it's not Joe, Jason, or Torian.)
I love the little brother's reaction...."Mom, does this mean I have to go sit in the mausoleum 6 times a year?"
You had a big laugh? If the stories are true, this is actually pretty sad. The kid really wanted to go to SC. His parents forced him back to UCLA. This has been discussed in the fairly mainstream media. The entire family is uncomfortable in this video...
Glad you got your guy and all, I'm sure he's pretty good. Seems like a really nice kid. Should be a great addition. And for everybody's sake, I hope the stories about his mother "changing" his mind aren't true.
Well, now I'm hearing the exact opposite, that he went with SC for his parents. So... I guess he's where he wants to be. How it should be.
I mean his parents were waving the SC Victory hands at the end of the video.. so... don't think they would be doing that if they supported his decision. Doesn't necessarily mean they wanted one way or the other. Could just mean they support their son. But what do I know.
I am a big time USC and I come in peace. What is the real story to Torian's commitment? I heard the same thing as mownyc that his parents wanted USC but he wanted UCLA. Can someone clarify the situation?
From a football standpoint he would have been a nice addition the USC program and I really wish him the best at UCLA.
@gilligan - All the UCLA sites are saying the same thing, but nobody really knows for sure except Torian White. Maybe he'll say something later, but I kind of doubt it as I suspect he's going to want to put this embarassing event behind him.

Biggins did an interview with Torian's dad. APparently the whole family wanted USC so he picked up the SC hat. the dad said he could tell Torian wasnt happy and told him to go where he wants to go.
