Jones has MRI on left wrist

UCLA junior guard Lazeric Jones had an MRI on his injured wrist, Ben Howland said, and the result is still just a sprain. He's been fitted with a special cast for non-basketball activities, much like a walking boot, but Howland said he'll be playing through it.

Also, Brendan Lane won't be available for Thursday's game because of his grandmother's funeral. Howland is hopeful he'll be back Saturday.

Hope Jones is ok. We need his presence on the court. We can win without him scoring ton's of points, but he is the floor general.

Agree with the above comment. Jones is not a superstar player, but he's solid. I don't find myself yelling, "NO" as much as I did when Anderson held the starting duties. Speaking of which, coming off the bench has really seemed to help both Anderson and Smith. Who would have thought?
