If UCLA beats Big Sky champion Montana in the first round, as it should, it will have to play the No. 6 Iowa (22-8)-No. 11 Gonzaga (28-4). That means UCLA, a No. 3 seed, could face Gonzaga in Spokane.

Nikki is learning that R-E-S-P-E-C-T is hard to get... but if UCLA goes far this year I am pretty sure we will get a seeding that reflects our players' ability next year.
That's a ridiculous seeding. UCLA should have been a 2-seed, given that 3 of their 4 losses were to #2-ranked Stanford. Not only that, they're in the same region as Stanford. Growl!!!!!

now, where is the logic in placing #1 and #2 teams of a conference (Stanford and UCLA) in the same bracket?
Nod NY. I thought the selection committee tried to avoid putting conf teams together in the same bracket. 4 losses on the year and 3 of them to #2 Stanford and we get the same bracket. WHAT UP? Then maybe play the Zags in a home game for them! WHAT UP? And only a 3 seed! WHAT UP?
Our women got screwed with this seed.
