An ex-UCLA player on US Open leaderboard

Kevin Chappell, the ex-UCLA star, also shot a 4-under 67 today and is 1-over for the tournament, and is tied for 25th. Might be more than just the one UCLA polo and I saw today.

  • JDS

Patrick Cantlay, currently on the UCLA golf team, also shot a 67 today and is even for the tournament and tied for 13th overall.

  • Go Bruins

Brandt Jobe is a Bruin as well. He’s -1 under. UCLA ’89.

  • You’re right. How could I forget Jobe?

  • Go Bruins

Not sure if that’s sarcasm, but it’s certainly a cool story that 3 Bruins are in the top 15 of the Open (and none of them are named Zoeller, Pavin or McCarron).

Would be a great early Sunday morning story for sure.
