Jill Painter here. I'm at the U.S. Open at Congressional, where UCLA freshman Patrick Cantlay is playing his first major. Happy to provide updates here if you guys would like. Cantlay won the Jack Nicklaus Award as the nation's best player and an unprecedented four titles this year.

Its definetly going to be tough for him (or any player) to keep it under par this week. Tough setup with high rough and skinny fairways. I wish him good luck and hope he makes a great showing!!!

Former UCLA golfer Kevin Chappell. All the other usual suspects - and there are a ton of ex-Bruins on Tour as you know, didn't qualify this year. Chappell tees off at 11:19 your time.
