I know that, rejn, you are a very loyal reader, and I appreciate your love and passion for both the team and the coverage. Trust me, I appreciate it. However, I don't want to be like the blind leading the blind, and I think you've overestimated UCLA's tradition a bit much. That being said, I also think that I sometimes write in a biting or caustic manner when perhaps I don't need to, and I need to be more mindful of that.
