Hundley to have knee surgery, out most of fall camp
UCLA freshman quarterback Brett Hundley, the No. 2 quarterback prospect in the country, suffered a torn meniscus playing basketball and will have surgery Wednesday, head coach Rick Neuheisel said at Pac-12 media day.
Neuheisel said Hundley will miss roughly half of fall camp, a crushing blow to the Chandler, Ariz., product, who left high school early to enroll at UCLA and participated in spring ball with mixed results.

Sounds like a perfect excuse for a redshirt year.
here we go again... QB with knee injury...
Brett, how about playing chess or cards during the off season?... well, never mind...with our luck lately, he may even twist his fingers while lifting the pawns...
Now ucla football has started on Que.
Good thing this is a not a real program or I would get upset.
I wish no harm on any of these kids.
Ridiculous bad luck. I expect JetSki's arm will fall of next.
not as bad as you all make it out to be, he wasnt gong to start anyway, and now it is a good reason to redshirt him
Hey Anonymous,
First of all no one wants to here about your kids awesome d1 I'm a softball player story. No one cares to here it. The dream for you is over. We all had awesome d1 cal state agora hills athletes.
Second, your calling out a 18 year old kid for doing something he's done his whole life. Stuff happens in life and who the hell are you to be dropping crap like he's a jerk.
You need to find a little self control when you post and think about how truly un-important UCLA football is in the grand scheme of things.
Grow up Dad!
Bob, is right on.
You want him to stay in dorm all day? Then u would bitch why isn't he in shape.
It's OFFICIAL. We are CURSED!!!!
I'm sure the kid has been playing BB ALL his life, but as soon as he steps on campus he tears his meniscus. UNREAL!!!!
Can somebody please page a Spiritualist? We need a Spiritual House Cleansing.
Yippie.
Does it ever end???
Redshirt time, don't waste Hundley in a losing year
Why did it take four weeks for Hundley to have his surgery? He could have been ready for fall practice!
