The QBs want to know already

| | Comments (8) |

Rick Neuheisel is well aware QBs Kevin Prince and Richard Brehaut want to know who's starting already. And fans and teammates and ... well, he assumes there are other interested parties, too.
``I'm sure they do (want to know),'' Neuheisel said. ``Moreover, I think their parents do. Not trying to be harsh on anybody. Just making sure both continue to improve.''
The parents comment seemed interesting, so I asked him if he had any meetings with their parents.
In a word? ``no.''

I can end their anguish: Prince is starting. Duh.

The parent comment is very interesting. I wonder who's parents, specifically, he's referring to.

A). KP
B). RB
C). Alternate both

This kind of angers me. They shouldn't even be worried about who is starting. They should be worried about going out there every day for practice and proving they deserve it. Back when I played my coach wouldn't let this fly. Then again it was a div3 school. Lol.

CRN is a d-bag. I've been a big supporter of him but he's being a real dick. It seems that he wants to go with Prince but is afraid to say so because he hasn't been the better QB in the Fall.

Neu should just say "I play favorites and hold grudges so obviously Prince will be the starting QB because I'm the boss and you're not." Instead all of this transparent game playing. Enough of this BS! Just name YOUR favorite QB Neu and accept the consequences.

Same here Brock, as per my former coach.
If RB wouldn't have played baseball, this job was his. Same might even go for Hundley if not for his knee.
That seems to leave KP dut to his commitment to this program and the toughness he has displayed throughout.

It isn't that hard. Play them both. There apparently hasn't been one that clearly stood out from the other. That way you have someone completely ready if the other is injured. If one stands out then ride him.

Build a package of a dozen plays for Hundley to come in as a change up and utilize his strengths.

Reverse a kickoff to Manfro. Nobody ever thinks UCLA would be capable of such innovation as running a reverse off of a kick off. That's for people like Boise St.

For somebody on the hot seat Rick sure doesn't seem to know it... He is leaving a lot of room for questioning and second guessing.

I really hope he gets it right.
