1) Jon- what has been the pass/run ratio through the first three games? It seems to to be run heavy, even though the Bruins have been playing from behind most of the season. Also, what’s the ratio on first down. I feel they need to mix up their first down plays more. Thanks. – Marc
UCLA has 118 rushing attempts and 78 passing attempts through three games, too run-heavy if you ask me. Unless your running game can churn out first downs and your offense doesn’t commit penalties, you need to pass more. Not sure of the first-down ration, but I agree, it’s out of balance.

2) Hey Jon, who would you like to see as our next coach? – Kevin
Eric Taylor. But to be honest, I’d probably settle for Tami Taylor with Eric as offensive coordinator and Billy Riggins as defensive coordinator. I think he’s ready for the promotion.

I think Jon Gruden enjoys money too much to leave it.

4) we’ve had quite a few top notch recruits the last couple of years that don’t seem to be turning their potential into production on the field. would you say that it is that the coaches aren’t doing a good job of developing them, that they’re just not getting a chance to play because they’re buried on the depth chart, that maybe they were just all rated higher than they should have been or is it something else? – Anonymous
I think it’s about a third each, to be honest.

5) Based on different news articles, this weekend’s loss to Texas really demoralized the team. As you go watch practice, does the team seem demoralized and ready to mail it in for the season? – JohnnyBruin
I wouldn’t say ready to mail it in, but they were definitely licking the stamps after Texas.
