Houston 38-28

Case Keenum has been so good today against UCLA, even his offensive linemen are scoring touchdowns.

After Patrick Larimore jarred the ball loose from Tyron Carrier at the 1-yard line, offensive lineman Chris Thompson recovered the ball at the one and rolled into the end zone for a touchdown, capping off a 9-play, 63 yard touchdown drive.

Keenum is 30-of-39 for 310 yards and two touchdowns, but it should be three with the Carrier gaffe.

Drive Time: 9 plays, 63 yards, 3:13

Chuck Bullough could have drawn up that defensive scheme!!!!

Positive signs in a disappointing loss.

Hey Jon, go punch Tresey in the face for all us, would you kindly?

WOW!! If we cant stop a Conference USA Team the Pac 12 is going to chew us up and spit us out!!! we got manhandled by a little offensive line!

Are the db's so bad they can't ply inside of five yards of a receiver? Are our safety's so scared about being beat they can't creep up and give support? Didn't even here dye's name being mentioned. Our secondary look like a bunch of scared sheep.

On the other hand the offense and Breheut looked great. Reminded me of a Toledo type team.

Let's not forget their quarterback is likely going to end up with the most passing yards in NCAA history and Houston has a chance to go undefeated until a bowl. That said, too many idiotic penalties, a missed chip shot field goal and extra point killed. Very poor tackling too.

I guess the qb competition is over. But this kicking situation is going to be challenging.

I agree there were some positive things in a tough loss offense looked decent guys made plays fauria and Nelson both had good games d played awful in the 1st half gave up only 7 points in the 2nd half tackling needs to be fine tuned both qbs looked good the season isn't over after one game we will rebound next week and get tested again the week after with Texas at home

That sound you heard was all the offensive Co-ordinators in the Pac 12 ordering up the game tape of Houstons game plan for our weak defense!!! That will be the smallest line we face all year? Could be a long one folks, and we cant even tackle to boot?

please no more Prince!!!! we've given him every single friggin opportunity to show he can stay healthy and win. this is his 4th year, and he's already hurt. he couldn't even finish a half. it's time to move on!!!

seriously, do we have to march on campus to force Rick to get some common sense?????

Well, half the team didn't suck at least, so we got that going for us. That and the Dalai Lama thing...
Whoever said it was like Bob Toledo era was reading my mind. We might lose, but at least we'll score points. You know what would be really, really cool. Good offense and defense in the same year. That'd be freakin' sweet!
2nd half Houston stopped themselves more than Bruin D did, D looked slow and helpless, lost gaps, tackling???, etc. Took Prince three (3!) series to get hurt, Harkey still can't catch, and Kip Smith didn't hit the center in the ass with any attempts (I've seen it happen) so maybe he'll get better.
However Brehaut, Fauria, Franklin, Coleman, Rosario Barr, Embree, can play and offense might score a lot. Hope so 'cause it looks like they're gonna need to...

John on Monday can you ask why they staff continues to play Wetgate when he always ends up out of position, he can't tackle and when he is in the play he gets run over? Kendricks should be playing over him.
