Jones not keeping up with the Joneses

DE Datone Jones has made just six tackles this SEASON, making this one of the most disappointing seasons of anyone on the team...and they're are a lot. As for what's going on with Jones, Neuheisel offered this:
``I think he's pressing,'' Neuheisel said. ``I think he's trying to make too many SportsCenter plays, rather than just playing the defense.''

CRN:
Yeah, throw Datone under the bus and see where that gets you ...
What about YOUR choice for DC?
Oh, never mind ... you are so gone.
But DG, how much more damage will you allow CRN to inflict on our program, players, alumni, etc. and etc?
Put a muzzle on him NOW!

Not saying Datone is having a good season, but Texas ran the opposite side all day long.

Datone has NOT played up to his talent, but in his defense, he has been held a lot this season, without SINGLE call.

Against Texas' Tackle nukmber 56 was holding Holmes and Jones all day. Jones was held and actually tackled by this lackey 4-5 times. Not one SINGLE call. Watch the film again. I'm never one to make excuses, but we SERIOUSLY got F'n rooked. I'm not saying this is why we lost or that it would have made a difference, but call the F'n game right for god sakes.

Maiava did NOT hold. He pancaked his guy. Price didn't even touch the receivers facemask. I saw no illegal block on the long Josh Smith return. Just call the freaken game even, is all I'm saying. If you're going to make those questionable calls against us, then you BETTER make sure they go the other way too.

I wasn't a big fan of Jones during his best season a couple of years ago b/c I thought he benefitted a lot from the double teams Price would get from O-lines and Ayers was also disruptive to opposing O-lines.
BruinFaithful is somewhat correct that UT did hold Jones a few times but at the same time an elite athlete is suppose to take over.
