That was a tough interview to listen to. No energy, no fire, no solutions. He said all of the usual "coach speak", but reading between the lines, he just sounds flat-out defeated.

I'm so SICK of hearing Rick. I'm sure his players are too. What a FRAUD!!!!

Until today, I can't believe how bad I've been lulled into:
"Great practice today guys ..."
"That's the coach-speak (almost asleep already) any questions? ..."
"If we can just start to pay attention to detail ..."
Unfortunately, paying attention to detail, like, say, hiring OCs & DCs in the off-season and then, on game day, properly handling 3rd-and-ones at the freaking 49 followed by timeouts and ... Oh forget it. He's so done.

I'm no body language expert or linguist, but this seems FAR from the decorum of a D-1 Football Coach (a successful one, at least). Shifty eyes, rarely meeting the level of the interviewer, slumped shoulders, intermittent frowns, and plenty of indecision. If this interview is any indication of current locker-room or practice dynamics (aside from yelling for the sake of it) I don't see how any current player--especially one not on his short list of favorites, at any given position--would give "C"RN a vote of confidence.
