McDonald named Pac-12 Defensive POW

UCLA redshirt freshman safety Tevin McDonald was named Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week for his three-interception performance in a 31-14 win over Cal on Saturday at the Rose Bowl.

The Bruins made the most of McDonald's afternoon, the team's first three-pick defensive performance since Rahim Moore's three-interception game against San Diego State in 2009.

UCLA scored 24 points off five Cal turnovers, including 17 points following McDonald three interceptions, which tied a Pac-12 freshman record.

Dang... Artis just committed to Oregon. Here's to hoping Larry D. can pick up the slack the next couple years. Don't understand how Point U is having such a hard time landing big name PG. LOOK at the NBA guys. It's loaded with UCLA guards. Ben knows how to coach 'em.

On the other side, stinking AZ just landed their 5th 5 star recruit. Ugh.

It's pretty easy to recruit against UCLA. All they have to tell these 5-star kids is "we want to feature your offensive abilities...Howland will just make you play defense all day." Pretty easy pickings for this And 1 generation of kids if you ask me.
