POW: UCLA/Cal Final Score Predictions

| | Comments (34) |

Readers: Post your final score prediction and vote in the poll. Closest to actual score with correct winning team gets to give me 10 questions to ask a player of their choosing, within reason, for an upcoming video.

Rex Griswald won for UCLA v. Arizona (*thanks), so please email me at jon.gold@dailynews.com.

Man, everyone is picking for Cal to blow us out? The faith has been lost.

uclaike said:

Wow, first time I've ever voted on this poll that we'd lose. That hurt.

Rick Neuheisel said:

Despite our loss to Cal I still think we're on the right track! I am the right man for the job!

Oh, what? I'm supposed to talk about our loss after we actually play the game? Ok, can this response please and open it Saturday night. Cheers!

CRN, Please don't burn Hundley's redshirt year!

Armand Morton said:

Hundley throws for 2 touchdowns and runs for another, and the D finally finds a QB they can stop.

Go Bruins!

Beat the Bears!

This one really hurts. A game at the Rose Bowl against a long-time nemesis that we should have been favored to beat, instead we get blown out in front of empty seats because CRN has so thoroughly screwed the pooch.

At least we will have only four more to pick.

And also, because I want to get as much use out of these as possible, and because I doubt there will be much more time to use them, I am pimping my images here...

The saddest part is that Cal is a pretty bad team themselves this year! I see them going 6-6. They remind me of our mediocre and inconsistent teams under Dorrell.

Wow. These are the most pessimistic predictions for UCLA that I have seen on this blog. And yet, did none of you see Cal's ineptitude when they played USC? There were many moments worthy of a montage set to "Yakety Sax", aka the Benny Hill theme. And you play them at home, right? While I'm no UCLA fan, I still think UCLA can beat these guys.

Larry scot said:

Please stop picking final scores which include field goals. Cal won't be stopped on a red zone third down and ucla can't kick.

Think I'm wrong look at the stats. Ucla will fold like a cheap lawn chair after Keenan allen scores twice on the first two drives. Cal stinks but we are much worse:

Final score: kal: 42 ucla 14.

Ummm... let's see. We have a clueless conservative coaching staff, an inaccurate QB that gets hurt when he runs, a D-line that can't pass rush, an O-line that can't block, suspended receivers, a soccer manager as our kicker, and a special teams unit that is just that, "special". Yeah, this has victory written all over it. I can see points coming from every direction, unfortunately not from our guys.

Steve: LMAO. Wow, guess you really don't see just how bad things are football-wise in Westwood until you lay them out completely.
And, not meaning to pile on, but ...
Don't forget that we also feature a starting linebacker with one arm in a club cast, one starter missing on each of those paltry front lines and, of course, our secret weapon: an athletic director w/no heart or huevos.

Steve: LOL. Line it all up like this and it's pretty depressing, isn't it?
