As the old saying goes, actions speak louder than words, fellas. Marvray and Embree have done very little this season to earn their starting positions, imho.

In less than 36 hours we'll know if you really have the fire and the pride of which you speak, or if it's more of the same talk we've been hearing all year about what this team is supposedly capable of.

I really hope Coach Johnson stays true to his word and yanks anyone who gives anything less than 100% on every play, cos lord knows there'll be guys watching from the sidelines who, having gotten a little taste of the big show last weekend, are more than ready to do just that.

I'm not sure it's a coincidence that the Bruins had their best and most complete game of the season, by a country mile, on the weekend when all those players were suspended...

GO BRUINS, TAKE IT TO ASU!!

"The neat thing about it, and this is where the team part comes into it, is seeing guys like Jerry Rice be out there," Embree said. "The love he has for the game - some people might laugh or giggle about it, but shoot, he caught an 8-yard pass and you thought he would've thought he caught a touchdown in the Super Bowl. But that's something that our team needs. We need more energy. We need more guys to be like that.

"When you play the game like he does as a team, you can do unlimited things."

---------------------------------
Is Embree one of the "We" who needs more guys to be "like that" or is he one of the "guys" we need more of? Does he want to catch the 8-yard pass as much as the touchdown? Is he going to play like Jerry Rice Jr. does?

If I knew what's really going on with the players on this team then maybe I would start the squad that played against Cal and "see" if those suspended players get any time in the ASU game. If I knew; but I don't. I hope the coach puts the right people out there.

ASU is listed as a 9 point favorite on Saturday. If history is an indication, the Bruins generally rise up for big time games at home. Hope Prince toes the line between running aggressive and getting down as Burfict & others will look to tee off on him if they get the chance after watching game film against Cal. Hope Fauria gets a chance to step up after his comments about Burfict this week. Defense needs to be aggressive and press n blitz when they can...otherwise Osweiler will shred us if we sit back in a passive zone all day.

Big game tomorrow...time to step up! Go Bruins!

so tired of the sense of entitlement that these athletes have and which Neu has perpetuated. we should be playing the people that perform the best. no more seniority. no senseless loyalty. fight for your position.

if Embree can't get excited just having the opportunity to play for a fine institution, there's something definitely wrong.

can't wait for the new coach to make sweeping changes that Neu has failed to enact. in other words, no more Donahue disciples who believe that 3 yards and a cloud of dust and punting are the ways of winning.
