Regarding Prince: Did he just add a credible pump-fake to his kit? I hadn't noticed it before, but ASU dropped back to cover and it created the open man. I hope it becomes an effective tool.

Great and lucky win vs ASU. But what are the odds of getting to the Pac-12 title game?

Well, ASU gets WSU at WSU-- advantage ASU
Arizona at ASU-- advantage ASU
Cal at ASU-- advantage ASU

ucla has Utah at Utah-- advantage Utah
Colorado at ucla-- advantage ucla
ucla at USC-- advantage USC

So ASU has about 1/2 chance of going undefeated, and ucla about 1/12. And then if everything falls into place, either ASU or ucla has to play Stanford (probably) or Oregon to determine the Rose Bowl representative.

Good luck!

BE REAL, because of previous performances on those horrific losses to Texas, Stanford, and Arizona most people (including many UCLA fans) have lost belief that UCLA has any chance at all of winning the Pac-12 south...UCLA has been improving, especially in the tacking department, they are gang tackling and they are playing at higher speed. This team has bonded like never before, they have become a tighter unit, thru the adversity, they are playing with an attitude, and attitude that was very noticeable as they walked thru the "Bruin Walk" yesterday before entering the Rose Bowl. They played with an attitude, and even after the game was over, they still had an attitude, with very few of the players acknowledging all the hoopla after a great win as they made their way into the locker room...hey, it's okay to ignore the fans, just win baby, just win.

I would give prince an A and the offensive line a C. They are gonna get prince killed out there if they don't learn to pass block at least a little bit

Mr. Bruinsnation here:

Everybody knows from my brilliant commentary at BN that CRN deserves only to be spat upon. A- should read F-. If you had read my posts over the last 8 years, you would understand why Dan Guerero is really just a fat burrito eating republican Neuheisal apologist. I am the true voice of UCLA and if you don't concede to my superior facts as I have so diligently provided, then I will ban you from your blog. You have been warned Mr. Gold, I will not accept any more of your insolent articles.

Just celebrating with the team. Onto Pac-12 title. AD Guerrero and I sit down and negotiate that contract extension. Big money flowing into the coffers with that TV deal.

Nestor, don't you have your own blog to spill your bile?

Coach Neuheisel deserves the A- grade. He has always coached with emotion. The problem was that so many of our older players have difficulty expressing any passion about football that Neuheisel couldn't connect. No coach could.

These guys are coming from the past generations of Bruin football futility. But with the influx of new Neuheisel recruits, the adversity and shame that occurred in Arizona, these hard-headed previously uncoacheable players have turned around. It is like a breakthrough in psychotherapy - which these guys needed.

Coach Neuheisel now has the groundwork from which he can build a great football program. It took time. But it takes time to weed out the poison that has been in the UCLA football program.

This poison - which was sowed by people like Nestor - was killing the Bruins. It gave players a really really bad attitude - a loser attitude. All this negativism from Nestor is poison.

Like drug-addicts, it takes such players to reach bottom before they could turn around. Arizona was bottom. It takes SHAME to turn these players around. Arizona was SHAME.

We needed the Arizona loss. Nothing shakes a player to the bone like SHAME. Nothing makes a player listen to a coach like reaching bottom. Arizona was bottom.

I am sure Rick Neuheisel now can coach this team to a brighter future. The younger players want to win. They have a great attitude. And the coaches have listened to them and have learned from them - to play them.

Go Bruins!

Only answer that matters: Better than SUC's !!!

Bruins need to do a better job of defending the intermediate passing game. It's been killing us all season.

Thanks for your spot-on satirical skewering of the absurd, over-the-top Bruins Nation. Look, I'm as bummed as any longtime Bruin fan at what the football team's been since about 1999, but c'mon -- let's be happy about this ASU win, huh?. Get some perspective, BN.

An example: On Sunday, I read with jaw-dropped amazement how fascist BN leader Nestor actually had the temerity to berate a giddy fan for his upbeat attitude after beating a "top 25 team." Evidently, this poor fan didn't toe the official BN line of anger and resentment towards these 18-22 year old kids who, in his mind, were handed a "gift-wrapped" win (hmmm, didn't they keep us in the game to get that lucky gift -- after all "luck is when opportunity meets preparation.") With that simply comment I realized that BN had lost all credibility with reasonable people. It's akin to reading the rantings of fringe political crackpots (of either party).

Great win guys! You should have seen all of Sharkeez Manhattan Beach go crazy when they missed that field goal! 8 claps all around.

One overlooked item of Saturday's win was what UCLA had to overcome...fumbles, bad penalties, and a very respectable ASU offensive attack. To win with all of that presented and not needing everything in a game to go your way was what stood out to me. Great game...but let's break the trend of laying turds after a solid game and get after the Utes!

@Anon 9:51am: Glad to hear that...I've had many a good time at that bar several years ago.

Go Bruins!

Would you consider removing the link on your page to bruinsnation.com? I believe that they feel legitimized by receiving links from the likes of credible sports reporters such as you and espn.

Their vitriol and disgusting behavior should not be encouraged by anyone.

I truly appreciate your reporting and your allowing these comments sections to be an open forum for discussing all things Bruin.

I have already Emailed sbnation and asked them to review the bruinsnation blog and at least discuss with the moderators the tone of their blog and their treatment of Bruin fans.

I believe you would be doing everyone a favor. Thank you very much.
