Weekly Answers, Pt. 9
Check out the latest batch of weekly answers...
1) Fact or fiction? Chris Petersen snubs UCLA. Dan Guerrero uses his NCAA connections to banish Boise State to the the Las Vegas Bowl. - MarkLA
The emotional teen lit of fiction.
2) Do you think coach Johnson will make any major changes to the offense with 3.5 weeks till the bowl game? Do you think he will open up the offense more to showcase to the AD what he can do if he was running the show? - 40ouncezipper
I need to see one day of practice before I can judge how things are going to change. I don't expect anything drastic.
3) I think Mike Bellotti is a good pick. He started Oregon on the course they are on now. Jon why so little interest in Bellotti? - Bruinboomboom
He's been out of the game for a long time, and there's been some issues in the past between the two sides. I could see him as a pretty good fall-back plan.
4) I really enjoy reading the questions posted on your blog.I have a feeling that DG is being pushed by some of the big donors who want to say that they picked the new coach and that this is a major hindrance in his ability to make a decision.I know that some of them have flown out to interview some of the potential coaches.Your thoughts? - bibs
Not entirely inaccurate.
5) Jon, what are the chances of Guerrero kissing Rick's behind and bringing him back for 1 more year to finish up his contract? is that unrealistic? - BruinRob
Uh, yeah, unrealistic like me running a 10k. Or a 5k. or a k.

On last question: Jon the AHA has a great training program for people out of shape who want to get in better shape. Worked for me. Do it and raise money for the AHA at the sametime.
With regards to question #4 and others, why so short with your answer? Why not expand on what you have experienced and/or feel?
Jon your answers are so short you might as well have not answered. If you are going to continue the q and a feature on your blog, please don't continue to repeat this. These honestly aren't worth reading.
I like your face though.
I answered 57 questions fellas, many repeating the exact same thing. I can only do so much with some questions.
I think many of us appreciate the brevity of the answers. Jon answers the questions in a forthright nature and the length and depth of his answers more than adequately address the issues.
Yayaya I feel yah. The questions definitley were all themed similarly. we all appreciate it Jon.
This is a dark time for mens bball and fball, thanks for helping us through them. I have a feeling there will be a dramatic culture change in the athletic dept.
I strongly agree with Bruinboomboom that Mike Bellotti is an excellent candidate and probably the best available by far. He knows the conference well. He's widely respected for turning Oregon into a major power. And he consistently outrecruited UCLA coaches in their own backyard. The only concern might be his age. At 62, he'd probably retire after winning the national championship in 2015.
Thanks for all you do, Jon. Since finding your blog, I've really enjoyed getting a better understanding of the ways our programs operate.
